The Ameican Rose Society conducts an annual review and rating of many rose varieties.  Roses in Review asks rose growers throughout the country to rate roses on a scale of 1 to 10 for the exhibition quality as well as the garden appeal.  Additionally, information is gathered regarding disease resistance, winter hardiness, size, and comments  that will be useful to other rose growers.  The results are compiled into an anuual publication by the ARS called the Handbook for Selecting Roses, a useful reference source for all rose growers.

The North Central District of the ARS has compiled the results for the previous year according to ratings entered by rose growers in Minnesota, the Dakotas, and Wisconsin.
